…But why choose me?

I have a college degree in Fine Arts, a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design and a diploma of higher specialized studies (DESS) in Events Design.

I worked as a designer, production and project manager for 8 years in a small business where I learned a lot about entrepreneurship. Over the years, I received training in business, communication & marketing as part of my job there, as well as taking part in a lot of the decision making regarding the optimization of day-to-day operations in the company.

I was also in charge of selecting, training and managing the company’s interns and acquired a lot of experience in community building.

I’ve been making stained glass full-time as an independent artist since November 2020 and I’ve built a great online community on Instagram during that period.

There, people know me for my humour, positivity, creativity, sense of collaboration, advice giving, mental health awareness & allyship, empowerment & feminism and reels about organizing your space as a maker.

You might be reading all this and thinking “Ok cool BUT have you actually coached other makers/artists since becoming a full time artist yourself?!”. And that’s a relevant question!

And the answer to that is yes, of course my love! That’s how I discovered how so many of us feel lost and alone when trying to navigate our identities as artists (being an artist? IN THIS ECONOMY?! How dare I.) and how to improve our skills and grow our business on a tight budget and schedule.

I’ve been teaching stained glass since January 2022 and each week in my classes, I see that the only thing that can prevent you from doing something new is the fear of doing mistakes, not knowing where to seek information and being impatient with the process.

All of these things are easy to work on, with the right encouragement and commitment to the learning curve on your part. Together, we’ve got this. I promise 🙌
